This video is a personal project in which I redesigned all sound effects and music for a scene in Avatar: The Last Airbender using Logic Pro.
This video was the final project of my Sound Design and Effects class taught by Nick Yovina. For this assignment, I was tasked with choosing a fight scene and adding all sound effects and music. The scene I chose was from the movie, Sword of the Stranger. Many of the sound effects in this video were crafted during several Foley workshops held in class. To recreate the sound of footsteps and characters sliding through snow, I used a slipper and sand spread over a tarp. For the subtle rustling of clothing, I used various jackets and shirts to match the attire of the characters in the fight scene. All the sword hits and swooshes heard in the video were produced using real rapier swords. For the gore effects toward the end of the video, those were creatively made using fruits and vegetables. This video was made in Logic Pro and is the project I am the most proud of as a Sound Designer.
This video was created for my Copyright & Music Supervision course taught by professor Paul DiFranco at Shenandoah University. For this assignment we were tasked with taking the opening scene of the movie, The Fast and The Furious, and adding sound effects and music. I decided to use the song "Tank" by Seatbelts and added sound effects for the car crash in the beginning for my sound design for the scene. This project was made in Logic Pro.
